I read a book on Bahamut today, the lord of all Eidolons. Reading it, I can't help but wonder where do Eidolons come from? They say they're the guardians of the planet, but scientifically that explanation is void. It's like all the stuff about the Heroes of Light in the legends. How did they come to this world, why them, why did they come just at the right time? Fairy tales are nice, but it's scientifically impossible for all to be a huge coincidence.
There's got to be a rational explanation behind all of it and as far I can tell, it all looks like it's the work of an intelligent mind.
